BrassNotes Now Available

BrassNotes, my interactive fingering chart for brass instruments, is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. You can download it on the app store, or find out more information about it here. Also, I’ve slightly redesigned the website with each app getting its own page so the iPhone app page doesn’t get too cluttered. Hopefully this will make it easier to get info on the particular app your looking for. In the meantime, keep sending me suggestions on how I can improve my apps.

I’m currently finishing up my latest app, BrassNotes. This app is an interactive fingering chart for trumpet, french horn, trombone, and tuba. I should be able to complete it and submit it to the app store within the next few weeks, so you can expect it to be available soon after that.

Version 1.1 of Note2Tab is now available featuring labels for each note in the staff. If you’ve already purchased the app, the new version is available as a free update on your iPhone or iPod touch. If you don’t have Note2Tab yet, you can purchase it on the app store.

Harmonic Ear Trainer Update Now Available

The new update to the Harmonic Ear Trainer including descending intervals and improved feedback for incorrect answers is now available as a free download on your iPhone or iPod touch to all current users. New users can download the app on the app store here.

Harmonic Ear Trainer Version 1.1 Submitted

I’ve completed the latest update to the Harmonic Ear Trainer app, and it has been submitted to Apple for distribution on the App Store. This update allows users to hear intervals as descending arpeggios and allows replaying of incorrect as well as correct answers in both the chord trainer and interval trainer. Look for the updated version (1.1) on the App Store and as a free download for current users within the next couple of weeks.

In response to several user requests for additional functionality in the Harmonic Ear Trainer and Sync Points apps, I am in the process of adding some new features to both programs. I’m working on an update to the Harmonic Ear Trainer to give users the option to hear intervals as descending as well as ascending arpeggios and to hear the interval that they selected when they pick the wrong answer. I am also planning on expanding the Sync Points app to support drop frame time code. Look for these updates in the next couple of months. In the meantime, if you have any suggestions for any of my apps, feel free to send me an e-mail.

My latest app is now available for download on the iPhone app store. Note2Tab is a tool for converting notes in standard notation into tab for guitar and bass and tab into notes. For more information, check out my apps page, or you can download it now from the app store.

Harmonic Ear Trainer and Sync Points Updated

Both Harmonic Ear Trainer and Sync Points have been updated to version 1.0.1. Harmonic Ear Trainer now has improved audio volume, and should be easier to use without headphones. The new version of Sync Points fixes some typos. Check out both apps here.
